SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Reports to: President

Direct Reports: None

Indirect Reports: None

Location: Leduc, Alberta

 

MANDATE

WEC is seeking a Sales Representative to work out of the Leduc office. This position will be responsible for new business development and sales. In-depth knowledge of our customers and the containment market will allow you to not only better maximize WEC’s selling potential and profits, but also provide an additional level of service that our customers have come to expect. Your proven sales record, technical sales skills, current industry specific clientele and entrepreneurial drive will bring success in this demanding environment. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts to ensure that customers’ operational needs are consistently met. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The position will include the following responsibilities:

  • Sales and technical support for current clients
  • Creating quotes from drawings and field assessments
  • Fostering growth opportunities within the current client base
  • Expanding WEC’s client base with new accounts
  • Prepare and maintain account plans for assigned accounts, setting strategies and targets
  • Be prepared to travel within Western Canada
  • Understand customers’ current and future needs and build relationships with all key personnel involved in decision making
  • Create and build long-term, lasting business relationships
  • Attend industry functions
  • Maintain clear communications with Clients and WEC Operations

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have the following:

EDUCATION:

  • Post-secondary education

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years Oil and Gas field and sales experience – candidates with containment experience will be given preference
  • Proficient computer skills – CRM, Word, Excel and Outlook

COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, engaged, and committed to individual and team success
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Strong Oil & Gas and Construction customer contacts
  • Strong ability to relate well with others both internally and externally
  • Clean criminal record check/ability to travel internationally (potentially) if necessary

 

THE COMPENSATION

An excellent compensation and benefits package await the successful candidate and would also include a company truck and fuel card.
