Our client is a boutique financial services provider that serves a distinct community across Canada.
Mandate
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, The Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for executing the tactical aspects for a full portfolio of marketing initiatives including copywriting, event management, content development and integrated digital campaigns.
The ideal candidate has exceptional writing and communication skills. This role works as part of the multi-disciplinary marketing team and collaboratively with the sales and operations departments as well as other stakeholders to foster brand awareness, client engagement and lead generation. Projects supported include newsletters, social media, digital content development, and, creating presentations.
Key Accountabilities
The position will include the following responsibilities:
- Independently writes and creates a collection of assets
- Contribute to the creation of compelling marketing collateral such as: promotional items, videos, digital and print copy, newsletters, presentations, product launches, event and advisor support materials
- Contributes to the enhancement of the website and other digital assets to promote easy positive movement through various customer journeys
- Collaborating with other marketing team stakeholders to execute integrated marketing campaigns and events
- Advocate for our clients brand, missions and values with clients and staff
- Assists in results tracking for campaigns and other initiatives to determine campaign efficiency and provides recommendations for improvement
- Helping to strengthen client advocacy by gathering insights and demonstrating an expert understanding of each client’s unique needs
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have the following:
Education:
- University degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
Experience:
- 2-5 years of marketing or communication experience
- Advanced writing skills ideally in a financial services environment
- Proficient in various marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and content management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to execute creative marketing plans for a variety of campaigns and marketing initiatives including print and digital mediums
- In addition to advanced writing skills, also proficient in WordPress and InDesign
Competencies and Attributes:
- Professional writing and content development experience and a digital-first mindset
- Superior judgment of audiences’ needs and winning tactics
- Excellent project and time management experience to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines and goals.
- An enthusiasm for making a positive impact on the customer and employee experience, and the opportunities these provide for marketing strategies and initiatives
