THE ORGANIZATION

Reporting to the Director Sales, the Key Account Manager is responsible to manage all aspects of relationship(s) with key account(s) (major Canadian retailer or equivalent), with the objective of driving profitable sales revenue growth.

THE MANDATE

Reporting to the Director Sales, the Key Account Manager is responsible to manage all aspects of relationship(s) with key account(s) (major Canadian retailer or equivalent), with the objective of driving profitable sales revenue growth.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for managing relationship key account to drive profitable sales revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth/sales plans.
  • Liaise with buyers on opportunities, trends, and insights to improve performance of all aspects of all our Product and Service categories.
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiating contracts and sales transactions.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understanding and promoting company products.
  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from customers as required from time to time.
  • Preparing and entering sales contracts and sales orders. Ensuring all data and transactions for responsible account(s) are always current.
  • Answering account(s) questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
  • Visiting account(s) to deliver seasonal sales presentations and proposals.
  • Visiting potential new customers to evaluate needs or promote products.
  • Maintaining customer and relationship records.
  • Participate in scheduled sales discussions with peers at Head Office to target new potential clients.
  • Measure forecast accuracy and sales performance and make recommendation and improvements. Preparing weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Assist QC area with specific customer feedback for improvement.
  • Other duties as may be determined from time to time.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record in significant (major Canadian retailer or equivalent) account management.
  • Track record of sales revenue development
  • Highly literate in using integrated ERP (NetSuite preferred) and CRM systems.
