Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance – Broadcast Division will be responsible for managing the operations and human resources of the Broadcast Division’s finance department, supervising the accounts payable team, performing financial analyses (financial reports, performance indicators, correcting discrepancies to increase the profitability of the company’s operations) and analyzing the division’s monthly financial statements.


He will be responsible for the entire budget process, will oversee the implementation of several corporate agreements and will ensure that contracts with partners are respected (music rights and royalties, music content). In addition, he will have to approve quarterly commission calculations, manage the complete financial cycle while overseeing the annual audit with the external auditors and the audit of the tax authorities for his division.


Among his main challenges, the Director of Finance – Broadcast Division will have to exercise inspirational leadership to put in place internal controls, policies and procedures that will improve the effectiveness and accuracy of the division’s financial results and the quality of accounting processes. He will have to promote an organizational culture within his division that is more focused on financial performance, while ensuring proactive and sustained communication based on excellence, efficiency and productivity.


  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting specialization; CPA, CA or CMA professional designation;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role involving a level of complexity in audit, finance or other related expertise;
  • Experience in team management;
  • Expertise in variance analysis vs. budget analysis for sales / costs / administrative expenses;
  • Relevant experience in a company with international operations is considered an asset;
  • Experience in the entertainment, digital or intellectual property sector is desirable;
  • Proven track record in implementing projects to improve accounting processes and systems;
  • Analytical and operational mind, able to study existing tools and processes to redesign, optimize and implement them with the support of its teams;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills based on excellence, efficiency and productivity, using an approach of mobilization and continuous performance improvement;
  • Excellent business mind with a global vision;
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and produce a high volume of deliverables; rigorous and attention to detail;
  • Autonomous person who stands out for his Innovative, dynamic and creative spirit;
  • Excellent communicator, team player and ability to bring people together;
  • Experience in the use of financial management software, ideally Dynamics GP accounting software (an asset) as well as proficiency in Word, Excel, etc.
  • Perfect proficiency of English and French, both orally and in writing.
