Cornwall Community Hospital was incorporated in 2004 with the amalgamation of the Cornwall General Hospital and the acute care services of the Hotel Dieu Hospital, both with over 100 years of health care service to Cornwall and the surrounding area. With the completion of a major redevelopment project in 2014, and the construction of the Addiction and Mental Health Centre at the end of 2016, the hospital consolidated all acute care and community-based services on their McConnell avenue site. Having everything on one campus positions the hospital well to serve its community for many years to come.

About Cornwall Community Hospital
Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is a medium-size acute care hospital located in Cornwall, Ontario a beautiful city situated on the scenic St. Lawrence River. CCH provides a full range of acute inpatient, outpatient and community mental health services to a catchment area of 100,000 people from the communities of Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and to the Mohawk community of Akwesasne.
With 156 beds, 1200 employees and 110 physicians, CCH offers a wide range of care and services. These include emergency, surgical, medicine and rehabilitation services, mental health and addiction programs as well as a family birthing centre.
CCH is about to embark on a new five-year strategic planning exercise and is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to play a key role in developing and executing the strategic plan. With a clear vision of delivering Exceptional Care. Always. and core I.C.A.R.E. values (integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and engagement), CCH is well-positioned to respond to the changing healthcare landscape.
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the CHRO is a member of the Senior Management Team and provides progressive human resources leadership across CCH. The CHRO is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the organization’s strategic plan, specifically in the areas of employee and labour relations, talent acquisition, occupational health and safety, French language services, volunteer resources, talent management, training and development, and compensation. The CHRO will have a proactive hands-on to human resources management in a busy environment. Depending on the candidate’s background and skill set, other areas of responsibility may be considered.
