Sherlyn Mendes

Sherlyn Mendes is the Director of First Impressions at Optimum Talent. She has the onus to uphold the company firm by ensuring it is reflected throughout the Edmonton office and has proven to be this example since 2012. An exceptional workday for her comes from shaping someone else’s day, client, or colleague, which has been the cause for her success and her passion.

Sherlyn holds an Intercultural certificate for Missionary Studies from Vanguard College. While studying there, she served in Asia teaching English, volunteered at Crossroads, orphanages, and poverty-stricken communities. Encouraged by those affected by the attacks of 9-11, she completed her Private Security Professional Program at Hilltop Security Academy where she then worked at the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range as the Security Supervisor. Later, she became part of Cenovus Energy as a Safety Orientation Briefer where she provided training to oilfield workers in a military bombing range.

Sherlyn is a proud member of Optimum Talent. In her spare time, she enjoys, travel, theatre, and spending time with her family.
